Mandatory Meeting for all
2012 Baseball Parents
Tuesday, January 31st
Players invited to the 2012 War Eagle Baseball program will be notified on Monday January 30th through lists posted by Coach Scheiner.
If your son is accepted into the program, you must attend a special welcome meeting the following evening - Tuesday, January 31 - as we discuss the upcoming season, collect spirit fees, an answer and questions you have about the season, the booster club or anything else baseball related.
That meeting will be held in the Oak Ridge High School 9th Grade Campus cafeteria at 6:30 p.m.
Spirit fees are required from each player in order for us to comply with UIL rules which state that athletes cannot receive anything "of valuable consideration" that is not paid for by their parent or guardian. Spirt fees cover the cost of team apparel issued to your son (moisture management workout shirt, shorts, game hat and offseason hat) as well as one yard sign, one vehicle sticker, and your son's ticket to the postseason banquet. Those fees will be $150 for the 2012 season and can be paid by cash, check or charge (note American Express cards NOT accepted).
New apparel items, as well as existing stock, will also be available for purchase or order that evening and can also be paid for using any of the same payment methods.
Good luck to all those boys trying out and we look forward to seeing you on Tuesday night.

2012 Program Ad Sales Underway
Business Ads, Spirit Ads and Outfield Signs Now Available
Now is the time to start approaching local businesses and digging through those old piles of pictures to get ready for the 2012 War Eagle Baseball program.
Our Stars Publishing will be at the Booster Club's January 31 meeting to present an overview of the program as well as answer any questions parents might have.
Following last year's very successful program, the first to feature full color glossy pages throughout, Oak Ridge Baseball is ready to start putting together its 2012 program and we're looking for an even better product this year.
Business Ads of many sizes are available for businesses, ranging from half page ads inside to the back cover page of the program. We ask that parents take the time to approach businesses they frequent and ask if they will consider supporting Oak Ridge Baseball. We are fortunate to have a very supportve business community in our area, we just need to ask!
Also available in the program book are Spirit Ads, aimed at allowing parents, grandparents and other friends and relatives to show their support of the team or a specific player. Half and full page Player Ads offer you the chance to submit photos of your son as well! You provide the photos and the text and our designer will create the ad for your approval.
For information about the program business ads, spirit ads and our Outfield Sign program please visit our documents page and look for the forms under 2012 Program Information. Examples of ads and spirit ads from last year are also available there...
